With all the edits and filters available on social media, people are beginning to question the images they see online.
In particular, fitness inspiration – or ‘fitspo’ - trends on Instagram have comeunder fire for promoting unrealistic bodies.
To combat this, personal trainer Jennifer Widerstrom posted two photos of her body, taken just minutes apart to show how differently a photograph or an angle can change the look of someone's body:
Widerstrom wrote:
We all look like this when we sit. Don't stress about the way your body looks in certain positions. These photos were taken two minutes apart!
The image has accumulated almost 20,000 likes, and people are posting their gratitude.

Thank you for this post I think we forget about this a lot, especially when following fitness people for motivation, instead it can turn into discouragement. This shows the reality of angles and to not look down on myself when I sit down and my pooch pops out.
