France is serious about the burkini ban.

Since the ban was put in place, several women - including most recently the Muslim woman who was forced to remove a shirt at Nice's Promenade des Anglais - have been fined for wearing beachwear deemed to:

...overtly manifest adherence to a religion at a time when France and places of worship are the target of terrorist attacks.

Designer Amy Clancy created the following cartoon, in case people were confused about what to wear to the beaches in France:

The cartoon features three women: one in a bikini wearing a hat; one in a wet suit, and the third in a burkini. Beneath it, she's written "Non."

Just so you know.

Though light-hearted, Clancy's simple cartoon demonstrates the ridiculousness of the burkini ban, as well as the religious and racial implications related to it.
