Stubborn children will earn higher salaries as adults, study finds

If your child is a stubborn brat, it may actually be a good omen.

A 2016 study found that particularly stubborn children frequently become successful as adults.

The study, published in the journal Developmental Psychology followed over 700 children from around the age of 9 to the age of 40.

It sought to track personality traits such as studiousness, entitlement, defiance and tendency to break rules, alongside their salary trajectories.

It found that children who ignored the rules and their parents frequently often earned higher salaries.

The study didn't account for career pathes or life choices that may have affected earnings, or choices of profession.

However, it was keen to conclude that if you're raising a kid that loves the largest slice of the buy, he will become a Gordon Gecko.
