Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby criticised for taking a selfie with Boris Johnson after interview

Viewers of Boris Johnson's interview on This Morning on Thursday have taken to Twitter about their annoyance after Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby posed for a selfie with the prime minister.

After grilling Jeremy Corbyn about anti-semitism in the Labour party and cutting him off to insist he apologise two days ago, the presenters gave Johnson his turn in the hot seat.

The conversation got heated when it turned to his comments about single mothers, and Schofield did push Johnson on whether or not the NHS is for sale, but they all seem to have come to an amicable conclusion.

A photo of the three of them taking a selfie together is making the rounds on social media, with many comparing it to talk show hosts' friendliness with Donald Trump before he was elected.

Others believe it's unfair that Corbyn got grilled while Johnson was neither scrutinised nor held to account for his own racism and islamophobia over time.

Many other posters also commented on the fact that Johnson has refused more serious interviews to do This Morning, potentially as a way of avoiding being held to account over important matters.

With that being said, here are some of our favourite reactions.
