Fox News had a discussion on women's pay and it went even worse than you can imagine

Oh boy. America’s favourite outrage merchant is at it again. Fox News host Sean Hannity decided to hold a discussion about women’s pay on his show this week and chose possibly the worst man in the world for the job.

Gavin McInnes, a co-founder of Vice Media, explained that there was absolutely nothing wrong with unequal pay because women are “less ambitious” and it’s “God’s way”.

Women earn less in America because they choose to. They would rather go to their daughter’s piano recital than stay all night at work, working on a proposal so they end up earning less. They’re less ambitious. And I think this is God’s way, nature’s way of saying women should be at home with the kids.

After having his comments described as “deplorable” by fellow guest Tamara Holder, McInnes countered that “if you were a real feminist you would support housewives and see them as the heroes”.

“You’d be much happier at home with a husband and children,” he has the temerity to explain. At that point, even Sean Hannity has his head in his hands.

“I hope your viewers do not take you, sir, seriously,” a visibly outraged Holder said back. Unfortunately Tamara, Fox is the most trusted news station in the US. Lord help us all.
