Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know that the world is in a very difficult place right now. So it’s about time we heard some good news.
New Zealand has essentially declared itself coronavirus free as it is now reporting no known active cases of Covid-19.
Since the start of the crisis, prime minister Jacinda Ardern has been praised for her pandemic response. She’s acted decisively and communicated clearly, while placing safety at the heart of her decision making.
Now New Zealand is coming out of lockdown and returning to some form of normality, which we on the other side of the world are very jealous of.
So as New Zealand passes this major milestone, people have been thanking Ardern for her stellar leadership.
