Being single and searching for that special someone can be an exhausting and frustrating experience.

While some people love the chase and being on their own, others dream of nothing else than finding a partner. For these people, social gatherings can be a bit of a nightmare – just watch Bridget Jones to see for yourself.

@jeauxsephjohn implored people to stop asking single people why they’re currently single. He said the comment “twists like a knife”.

The tweet struck a chord with Twitter users, receiving more than 100,000 likes in just a couple of days.
