Vanilla Ice is used to going 'To the Extreme' but on Wednesday he found himself in a situation which wasn't extreme or glamorous in any remote way.
After his Emirates flight from Dubai to New York's JFK Airport, Vanilla Ice and all the other passengers on the plane found themselves stuck on the runway after a 100 passengers and crew fell sick on the plane.
The plane which arrived at 9:10 am was swarmed by police and ambulances upon it's arrival and was quarantined for an assessment by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Ten people were eventually taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Centre and CBS reports that they are stable.
Considering that he was the most famous person on board the plane, Mr. Ice (real name Robert Van Winkle) took it upon himself to become a hands on reporter on the scene and began to live tweet what was happening to his followers.
This is crazy. Apparently there is over 100 people sick on the bottom floor, so happy I’m up top, it’s a double-decker plane 380— Vanilla Ice (@Vanilla Ice) 1536170081
That was about the extent of his investigative journalism into the incident, but officials later said that they believed that incident was caused by food poisoning and there was no evidence of a security or terror issue.
However, another story emerged from the incident as people began to respond to Ice's tweets with his own lyrics, most of which were fitting for the situation.
@Lord_Arse @vanillaice They passed me up- confrontin' all the dope fiends...— Erica Coker (@Erica Coker) 1536183586

@vanillaice Hey Vanilla Ice I'm a reporter for Fox 22 can you confirm whether this disease is killin' your brain like a poisonous mushroom?— Joe Colangelo (@Joe Colangelo) 1536173843
Others were concerned that Ice might be in the beginning stages of an apocalyptic zombie movie.
