If you've ever wanted to play as North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in a side-scrolling shoot 'em up, you'll only have to wait a matter of months for that dream to be realised... in the shape of new game Glorious Leader!
But questions have been asked as to whether a game featuring Kim riding a flaming unicorn, confronting tanks head on, setting fire to US flags and hanging out with Dennis Rodman could trivialise the crimes of a regime accused of carrying out summary executions in horrific manners and imprisoning hundreds of thousands of political prisoners.
Jeff Miller, chief executive officer of Atlanta-based developer Moneyhorse games, told the Guardian the game would 'carefully walk the line of satire without being an apologist for the regime', but admitted Apple was unlikely to sanction it being made available on the App Store.
Glorious Leader! is due out on mobile formats and PC later this year.
