Philip Pullman just revealed his most-hated song and it's very very controversial.

We all have our favourite set of songs, and we all have that one tune that we can’t stand - but what do you do when someone hates your favourite song?

Philip Pullman may have upset a few fans when he announced that he dislikes John Lennon’s 'Imagine.'

He did the unthinkable by making the admission unprovoked, even if a social media user asked the question.

Pullman was responding to a tweet, one not even addressed to him, that said:

His reply to her did not go unnoticed as others online called his answer controversial:

Meanwhile, his unapologetic music commentary gave some others the courage to announce their own unpopular opinion:

We do wonder if Pullman’s choice was in any way influenced by recent events?

Who can forget when self-isolating celebrities tried to raise morale at the start of the global pandemic. Celebrities like Gal Godot, Mark Ruffalo, Jimmy Fallon, Zoe Kravitz and many others recorded videos of themselves singing ‘Imagine’. Each of them recorded a video of themselves singing a line from the song, which was edited together and posted on Gadot’s Instagram.

People weren’t impressed and for some, it ruined the song:

Some users pointed out the fact that many of those celebrities were wealthy and could donate to other people who were in need. One user said: “I've always hated this song. "Imagine no possessions" sung by some of the wealthiest people in the world”.

Looks like 'Imagine' has taken yet another hit in the popular songs arena.
