After years of bemoaning his luck, Big Sam Allardyce has finally landed the big one: the England job.
The Sunderland boss is expected to be confirmed as the national coach on Thursday to try and help the team recover from an embarrassing Euro 2016 campaign which saw former manager Roy Hodgson resign.
Those who support the decision to appoint Allardyce as manager point to his pragmatism, man-management and his ability to make a poor team greater than the sum of its parts.
But not everyone is happy. Some see the man who rose to prominence with route-one football as a terrible choice.
So much so that they've threatened to support Wales.
Not a great start for the big man...
