Nicola Sturgeon was asked what her favourite biscuit was and gave a predictably Scottish answer

Whenever a politician goes on Mumsnet for a Q&A, tradition dictates that they are asked what their favourite biscuit is.

Ed Miliband said a jaffa cake, David Cameron said oatcakes with butter and cheese, and Andy Burnham said, um... beer, chips and gravy.

On Tuesday, first minister Nicola Sturgeon took to the parenting forum where she discussed the EU referendum, Scottish independence and immigration, among other issues.

When asked what her favourite biscuit was, the Scottish nationalist replied that it was, of course, made by Tunnock's:

Notably not the tea cake, though, which was recently rebranded south of the border to the “Tunnock’s Great British Teacake”.
