Boris Johnson said the Conservative Party 'doesn't do deals with other parties' and everyone made the same point

In very 2019 news, Boris Johnson has gone on TV and said something that isn't strictly true.

Appearing on The Andrew Marr Show, Johnson insisted that the Conservative Party “doesn’t do deals” with other parties when asked if he'd consider an electoral pact with Nigel Farage.

Yes, really.

He said:

The Conservative Party is the oldest and greatest political party in the world, it's a big broad church and we don't do deals with other parties.

To clarify, this is the same Conservative Party that gave the DUP £1billion to prop them up in government. And the same Conservative Party that was in coalition with the Liberal Democrats for five years.

Naturally, people on Twitter quickly pointed this out.
