Gigi Hadid is in hot water a lot these days.

Just a few weeks after backlash about a video in which she appeared to mimick the face of a Buddha, she's now the subject of a lawsuit.

Last summer she posted a photo on her Instagram (on which she has 35.7m followers) and Twitter.

In it, she's wearing a jacket from the Mighty Company which reads "hadidas" on the back - a play on her surname and Adidas.

Paparazzi photographer Peter Cepeda is claiming his exclusive rights to the photo as the sole photographer. In the lawsuit, he claims an:

act of infringement [that] was willful and intentional, in disregard of and with indifference to the rights of Cepeda.

Cepeda says he licensed the photo to the Daily Mail and TMZ, but not to Hadid. The suit has yet to be brought to court.

The image remains on her social media channels.
