For the first time since the 2012 "omnishambles" more people in Britain say the Budget is unfair than fair, YouGov research shows.

A graph by Statista charts the level of satisfaction year-on-year with the Budget, and shows that only 28 per cent of Britons believe last week's 2016 version to be fair.

Thirty per cent of Britons think the budget is unfair, which is up 11 per cent since 2015.

The only year with higher dissatisfaction was 2012 with 48 per cent.

On the other hand, the year the coalition government was elected, 2010, garnered the most satisfaction, with 50 per cent of British people saying they were happy with the Budget.
