Australian right-wing politician Pauline Hanson has taken to Twitter to ask for people to give examples of anti-white racism, and it has to be said that people aren't holding back.

The leader and founder of the right-wing Australian One Nation party, Hanson is no stranger to raising eyebrows with controversial opinions, being accused in 1996 of encouraging a 'race debate' in Australia by then Deputy Prime Minister and Trade Minister Tim Fischer during her maiden speech to parliament.

More recently in 2015 she claimed that Halal certification in Australia was funding terrorism, used similar 'go back to where you came from' Trump rhetoric and also made the narrow minded claim that: "We are in danger of being swamped by Muslims who bear a culture and ideology that is incompatible with our own," calling for a ban on Muslim immigration. Which sounds very familiar, and very unsavoury in that oh-so-Trumpian kind of way.

As such momentum has recently gathered on social media to have her removed from various platforms, which Hanson has not taken kindly to.

Taking to Twitter, Hanson wrote:

A twitter mob is trying to get me deplatformed. I think we can turn their hashtag into a force for good. Anti-white racism is often ignored because victims remain silent but it is important the truth get out. Use #WakeUpToRacism to share your experiences of anti-white racism.-PH

It goes without saying that the call out somewhat backfired, and people quickly provided Hanson with examples of anti-white racism, but not quite as she'd hoped.

Ouch, Pauline, do you need some ice for that burn?
