Everyone should move to China "or somewhere like that" in the event of Jeremy Corbyn becoming prime minister, Lord Sugar has said.
The former Labour peer and host of The Apprenticetold the Evening Standard:
He and his policies would be the thing that shuts the whole thing down.
Lord Sugar added of the Labour leader, who was accused of being unpatriotic for not singing the national anthem:
If they ever got anywhere near electing him and him being the Prime Minister then I think we should all move to China or somewhere like that and let this place just rot.
Speaking as he unveiled a luxury apartment building in St James's in central London, Lord Sugar said the combination of Labour's pick for mayor Sadiq Khan and Corbyn could spell disaster for London's luxury property market:
I don’t know the fellow [Khan] and what he stands for but certainly if you want the market to stop then you’ve got Batman and Robin in those two.
If they ever got into power that would create a lot of problems.
