Margot Robbie’s husband almost flashed Barack Obama

Margot Robbie’s husband almost flashed Barack Obama

Margot Robbie revealed in a hilarious story on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that her husband once shared a little too much when meeting Barack Obama.

It started when Ellen revealed that she and Robbie had met before - and asked, with a calmness that definitely didn't match the story to come, for Robbie to elaborate.

Giggling, Robbie said:

I'm scared, because my husband's going to kill me for telling this story.

It was at that point that the audience realised this story was going to be good.

Robbie and her husband, director Tom Ackerley, were on their delayed honeymoon in a secluded resort in Tahiti.

Unfortunately, it was raining the first day so they decided to hit the gym - but Ackerley didn't really have any appropriate clothes to wear. So, he did what he could.

Tom puts on these shorts that are his oldest gym shorts. And they're tiny.  And they're really short.

And there's nothing underneath so they're - you know. He gets on his bicycle to ride there. And I was like, whoa. I was like, babe. You cannot wear those shorts.  I can see everything.

And he was like, come on, who are we going to run into?

Famous last words.

And so we walk into the gym. And running on a treadmill is Ellen. And then on the treadmill next to her is Portia, her wife.

It gets worse...

I was already starstruck.  And then you're like, have you met Obama?

And we were like - what?

And standing next to them is former President Barack Obama.  I'm not kidding. In a gym that was tiny.

And it gets worse.

We had to do this whole class, like this stretching class.  But Tom, meanwhile, is trying not to reveal anything.

And he's dying.  And I'm crying so much, I'm about to crack a rib.

Ellen did some pretty nifty moves on the show to demonstrate what the experience was like.
