As the general election edges closer, many of us are feeling fatigued.
That could go some way to explaining why, during BBC's Question Time, Emma Barnett felt the need to ask Angela Rayner whether or not Labour plan to nationalise sausages.
Rayner didn't even take the time to dignify the question, giving a simple, but incredulous, "no".

On Twitter, she shared a video of the exchange, jokingly calling the question "the Wurst" of the campaign.

While the question, asked of the shadow education secretary during an under-30s special episode of Question Time, seems irrelevant, there might have been a larger point.
Barnett interrupted Rayner talking about the climate crisis to ask what steps the party was going to take to reduce the public's meat consumption.
Still, she went a funny way about doing it.

@AngelaRayner Epic side eye. This has been a strange election but I think that was the best moment so far.— Dr Alan Mackie (@Dr Alan Mackie) 1575971852
