Barack Obama just compared the entire Republican party to Grumpy Cat

Barack Obama, with just over a year left in office, is really enjoying kicking the Republican party when it's down.

On Friday the President said the "gloomy" party reminded him of Grumpy Cat, quite possibly the most famous feline on the internet, and did his best impression to boot.

Obama's pout earned him laughs from the audience at the Democratic National Committee’s Women’s Leadership Forum, which illustrated his point about the GOP burying its head in the sand about his administration's accomplishments.

Overall, we’re making enormous progress. And it does make you wonder, why is it that Republican politicians are so down on America? Have you noticed that? I mean, they are gloomy. They're like Grumpy Cat. Everything is terrible, according to them.
