It took a man in America 46 years to eat a grand total of 30,000 Big Macs – and he has no plans to stop.

Don Gorske, from Wisconsin, hit the number on 4 Mary 2018 at a McDonald’s in Fox Valley – also where he ate his very first burger.

In 1972.

The 64-year-old retired prison guard made the Guinnes Book of World Records for eating the most Big Macs ever at the time – 29,482.

He told Kvoa that hitting the milestone was something he had been “looking forward to”.

The sandwich contained two beef patties, drenched in special sauce, with lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions nestled between a sesame bun.

Gorske keeps record books, receipts, sandwich wrappers and containers as proof. He said:

People make fun of me, but it never bothered me.

Gorske says he’s only missed eight days without eating a Big Mac. One of those was on 27 April 1988, when his mother died.

I made a promise to my mum. She requested I not eat a Big Mac on the day she died. In remembrance of her.

Despite what appears to be an unhealthy diet, Gorske, who says he has obsessive compulsive disorder, is in good health.

At my last medical check-up I had low cholesterol and my blood pressure was perfect.
