Ladies and gentlemen, it's happened.

Foreign secretary Boris Johnson has finally assumed control of Britain. Kind of.

No, Johnson has not followed through with his Brexit coup d'état.

According to Downing Street, Theresa May is on a walking holiday in Switzerland for the week, and the Foreign secretary is the next most senior duty minister in Whitehall.
