Donald Trump will be inaugurated as President of the US in just two days.
And he still hasn’t released his tax returns, despite nearly three quarters of Americans believing he should.
You might remember the “birther controversy” in 2011 led by Trump, after which Obama showed his birth certificate to the nation following questioning about his American citizenship.
Prior to this, Trump told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos that he would release his tax returns if Obama released his birth certificate.
Maybe I’m going to do the tax returns when Obama does his birth certificate…I’d love to give my tax returns. I may tie my tax returns into Obama’s birth certificate.
Here he is, talking to CNN's John King a few weeks after Obama released it, still insisting that he’ll release his tax returns:

That was six years ago. And two presidential elections.
We're still waiting.
