Assault rifle-toting white man complains about being harassed at the airport, because America

Today in news that could only come from the US of A, a white man with a gun is angry that he got asked by police why he was taking an assault rifle into one of the busiest airports in the world.

What makes the story even more astounding is that Jim Cooley of Atlanta is right that he wasn't technically doing anything wrong - under Georgia state law it is perfectly legal to openly carry a loaded firearm in public, even at the airport, unless he wanted to go through security.

Local news website 11alive.com says he took such umbrage at the three officers whom he says harassed him when dropping off his daughter for her flight at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International that he filed a complaint with a police oversight committee.

Geez, people employed to protect the safety of the public. Can't you tell Cooley's just a heavily-armed law-abiding good guy?

Cooley said he was carrying the gun for safety reasons. He's uploaded videos of his brush-ins at the airport over the gun which you can watch below:

Next time Cooley decides to show off his assault weapon in public we suggest he wears a turban. Let's see how that goes.
