What would we do without Kate Hoey?

Well, quite a lot of things actually, like live a less stressful life for starters.

The Brexit-backing Labour MP has been in the centre of the UK’s political storm since the 2016 EU referendum campaign. Judging by her most recent intervention, she doesn’t have any intention of changing this.

Following reports that Channel 4 News has been barred from reporting on Brexit Party rallies after it aired a report into leader Nigel Farage’s financial links, people have been calling on broadcasters to boycott covering Farage’s campaign.

But not Hoey. The Brexit-backer instead tweeted that the ban “sounds a sensible decision”.

Naturally, this enraged people on Twitter who view a free press as a core tenet of any democracy.
