Elizabeth II became Britain's longest-reigning monarch on Wednesday afternoon.

As of 5.30pm, the 89-year-old had been on the throne for 63 years, 216 days, 16 hours and approximately 30 minutes - surpassing the reign of her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria.

Congratulations to her.
