These are the world's most globalised countries

The world's 'most globalised' countries have been revealed in the KOF index, and Ireland tops the rankings.

The Republic of Ireland scored highest in the KOF index of 207 countries, with a score of 91.30 - beating the Netherlands (91.23) and Belgium (91.00) to the top spot.

The index measures the three main dimensions of globalisation; economic, social and political, as well as taking into account actual economic flows, economic restrictions, and data on information flows.

The UK ranked 19th, with a score of 82.96, just above France with 82.65.

Statista has produced a visualisation of the top 15 countries on the index, all but two of which are located in Europe.

The rankings in full are available in the visualisation below, or on the KOF website.
