This billionaire presidential candidate only appears to own one tie

Female politicians are used to being picked apart for what they wear, but it’s rare that men in the political spotlight are given the same treatment.

Billionaire presidential candidate Tom Steyer (don’t worry, we’d only just heard of him too) saw a boost in search traffic on Google during this year’s first Democratic presidential debate on Tuesday night – in large part, it seems, because of his tie.

Steyer appeared onstage donning a red and yellow tartan tie, a bold fashion choice that lots of people noticed because he’s often appeared in similar ties. Soon his tie became a top Google trend. That’s right, move over Hillary Clinton’s pant suits, because another politician is being mocked for wearing the same thing repeatedly.

Forget healthcare or Iran, the real question is whether Tom Steyer owns more than one tie.
