Turkey explosion: at least 20 people killed in twin blasts in Ankara

At least 20 people were killed in two explosions on Saturday in Ankara, Turkey, where people were gathering for a peace march.

A video reportedly showing the moment one of the explosions happened shows people singing and linking arms before running for cover.

Reuters reports that at the scene there are at least 15 bodies covered by flags, with bloodstains and body parts scattered on the road.

The rally, organised by the pro-Kurdish HDP party, called for "peace and democracy" between the government and Kurdish separatist group the PKK.

An HDP rally in the city of Diyarbakir was bombed in June, ahead of general elections, and fresh elections are due next month.
