Elon Musk caused a stir earlier this month when he announced that he was moving Tesla’s headquarters from Palo Alto, California to Austin, Texas and now he wants to set up a university.

Or at least that’s what he appears to be joking about on Twitter.

Late on Thursday, the richest man in the world tweeted that he was considering setting up a university in Texas called: Texas Institute of Technology & Science.

Musk, who is no stranger to goofing around on Twitter, could be making a serious announcement here but we’re leaning more towards this being a gag because it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see what he was trying to say here.

We’ll leave you to figure it out for yourself.

In addition to this his joke, which wouldn’t be out of place in a Rodney Dangerfield or Leslie Nielsen movie, Musk also said that his university would have “epic merch” and would be “universally admired”.

He also confirmed that funding would be secured.

Even if this acronym is a joke it should probably be taken seriously. After all, this is a man who once named a rocket ‘Big F**king Rocket’ and three models of Tesla cars the ‘S3X series.’

Musk already has experience in running a school too. In 2014 he opened up the secretive Ad Astra School on SpaceX’s campus in Hawthorne, California. Around 30 students attend the school which has a curriculum heavily focused science, math, engineering, robotics, and artificial intelligence.

So watch this space, although he might want to reconsider the name as we can’t see it being too popular with parents.
