On Sunday night, veteran actor Alec Baldwin won an Emmy.

If you were inclined, you could say Donald Trump won an Emmy.

Baldwin picked up the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy for his spot-on impression of the President on Saturday Night Live.

The 59-year-old actor has been impersonating the New York billionaire turned Commander-in-Chief for well over a year and it is never not funny.

Upon accepting the award, Baldwin had a special message for the man that made all of this possible.

At long last Mr. President, here is your Emmy.

This could be interpreted in multiple ways.

Firstly, Trump, through his actons, statements, rallies and press conferences, basically gave Baldwin all the material he needed for the SNL sketches.

So, in a way Trump earned the award himself. All Baldwin had to do was make it funny.

You probably won't be shocked to learn that Trump is no fan of the impersonation or SNL.

Then there is Trump's long running grudge with the Emmy's themselves.

When he was the host of The Apprentice and The Celebrity Apprentice, the Emmy's twice nominated the show for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program.

Unfortunately for Trump, the show lost on both outings to adventure series The Amazing Race.

Trump did not take the news well at the time.

Hmmm....bitter much?

Another thing that might have irked Trump about last nights Emmy's was the fact that Kate McKinnon won Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy for her portrayal of Hillary Clinton during the 2016 Presidential election.

He hasn't said anything yet - but we dare say we could see a few tweets about "Crooked Hillary" and the Democrats fixing the Emmy's soon?

Or he may not want to provide them the material for next year.

More: Donald Trump is still tweeting about Hillary Clinton. Yes, really.
