The new Top Gear line-up has been announced and lots of people are laughing at them

The line-up for the new season of Top Gear has been released, to the displeasure of the internet.

Joining Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc will be Formula 1 commentator Eddie Jordan, German racing driver Sabine Schmitz, and motor journalists Chris Harris and Rory Reid.

The presenters have yet to feature in a single clip of the new series, but don't worry everyone - Twitter has already decided for you that it's going to be awful.

This was partly due to the new lineup consisting of seven presenters as opposed to three, leading to cutting edge pop-culture comparisons:

As the Independent covered, Twitter also noticed that the BBC had made it very plain that Sabine Schmitz is a woman.
