The list of places homophobes 'can’t Christmas shop at anymore'

The leader of a conservative Christian media group has complained that there's nowhere left for her to shop anymore - because almost every major retailer is pro-gay.

Because of her attempts to boycott shops that support equal rights, Linda Harvey is running out places to buy polyester shirts and teardrop earings.

Harvey is a radio host in Columbus, Ohio, and is also the founder of 'Mission America', a Christian cultural group.

Speaking on her local show, she expressed her dismay at the number of businesses which now have pro-gay rights policies - Say it ain't so!

For any Christian who wants to spend hard-earned dollars with family-friendly, Christian-affirming retailers, restaurants and service providers, the list is growing shorter all the time.

She went on to explain why she could no longer go to the American department store Macy's.

I stopped shopping at Macy’s in 2011 after learning about the retailer’s grossly unjust policy against women.

Macy’s management said ‘yes’ to a transsexual young man’s demand to change in the women’s dressing room and rejected a Christian employee’s attempt to block his inappropriate access, even firing her because of her principled actions.

Harvey also rallied against retail giant Target in the 1990s for selling gay pride t-shirts (gasp), and other companies for supporting what she describes as "pro-deviance legislation".

Writing for the conspiracy website World Net Daily, Harvey mused if there were anywhere else for Christians to shop.

So if you're a bigot looking for a way to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, without supporting LGBT rights, Harvey has helpfully provided this list of places to avoid:

  • Wal-Mart (ASDA)
  • Best Buy
  • Abercrombie & Fitch
  • American Eagle Outfitters
  • Barnes & Noble
  • Dell
  • DIRECTV
  • E-Bay
  • Ford Motor Co.
  • The Gap
  • Old Navy
  • Banana Republic
  • General Motors
  • Hallmark
  • Home Depot
  • IKEA
  • Levi-Strauss & Co.
  • Mattel
  • Nationwide
  • Nike
  • Nissan
  • Nordstrom
  • Office Depot
  • Staples
  • Starbuck’s
  • Volkswagen

Indy100 rather hopes that this list is incomplete.

Never fear though; Harvey claims that homophobia is allegedly alive and well at a few shops... But we're not going to give them free publicity.

Happy Holidays Linda:
