TV news reporter upstaged by man eating pizza in the background

Every so often, an unlikely online hero emerges.

In the wake of the explosive testimony of Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen, who branded the president a “racist”, a “liar” and a “cheat”, the news cycle was in overdrive.

As CBSN reported on the incident, a hungry congressional staffer tucked into some pizza and became an instant star. Because, well, it’s 2019 and frankly why not?

As the reporter gives details of Cohen’s testimony to the camera, the oblivious young man is seen walking directly behind and to the side of the reporter and proceeding to eat his pizza out of the box. Looks yummy, doesn’t it?

A clip posted to Twitter went viral within minutes.

It just goes to show that, no matter how wild the news is, there’s always time for pizza.
