Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff thinks the Earth is flat.

The cricket legend admitted that he was convinced of this theory, or at the very least the idea that the world is “bulbous".

He became a believer after becoming an avid listener of a conspiracy podcast called The Flat Earthers - who, as the name suggests, claim the Earth is flat.

This is despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary - including pictures like this one.

The conspiracy theorists claim that photos of the Earth from space are simply lies perpetrated by Nasa.

They even tried to argue that the recent solar eclipse was rigged by the authorities, or even more proof that we live on a flat Earth.

Speaking on his own podcast for BBC Radio 5 Live, with former Wales footballer Robbie Savage, the cricketer bats every logical argument out of the park.

He said:

If you’re in a helicopter and you hover why does the Earth not come to you if it’s round?

Why, if we’re hurtling through space, why would water stay still? Why is it not wobbling? Also, if you fire a laser about 16 miles, if the world was curved, you shouldn’t be able to see it but you can.

So what is the Earth according to Flintoff?

The middle is the North Pole, around the outside is the South Pole which is like a big wall of ice. This is why all governments now have bases on the South Pole.

I’m just going to leave this clip of Steve-O debunking the flat Earth theory right here:
