Alabama Republican Senate nomination Roy Moore has been accused of the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl four decades ago.

The Republican was reported to have initiated a sexual encounter with the minor, 40 years ago when he was 32.

The story was broken by the Washington Post last week during his campaign for the senate, voting for which will take place in a month.
