Prince Charles got treated like a politician and he didn't like it very much

Prince Charles’ secret letters to government ministers will be made public on Wednesday after a decade-long legal battle.

The infamous “black spider memos” - so called because of the Prince’s handwriting - will be published with redactions after 10 years of campaigning by The Guardian.

The government had tried to block the letters from becoming public on the grounds it would damage royal neutrality.

In the meantime, Prince Charles got a taste of what it’s like to be in the political limelight when Channel 4’s political correspondent Michael Crick doorstepped him about the letters this morning:

Mr Crick, we salute you.
