Earlier this week we brought you a warning not to believe a thing a Eurosceptic tells you about cabbage.

However, with the referendum approaching there are other pernicious myths out there that you should be wary of.

It's time to test your knowledge.

This questionnaire is taken from questions from a recent YouGov survey, in which 1,612 British adults were quizzed about EU myths.

The most commonly believed myths were about financial transaction taxation and banning smoking in public places, while the most disbelieved actual legislation was the banning of excessively curved bananas and the banning of hidden costs when flying.

The most likely to spot myths were Labour supporters...

..while most likely to pick correct legislation were supporters of the conservatives.

Overall, supporters of the Conservatives were most likely to pick the correct answer (56 per cent of the time), followed by Ukip (54 per cent), the Lib Dems (53.5 per cent) and lastly by Labour (53 per cent).
