Trump said other countries do a better job of cleaning 'the floors of the forest'

President Trump, who is something of a disaster himself, rolled into California to offer his expert advice on how to avoid forest fires.

In an interview with CNN, Trump said:

You’ve got to take care of the floors. You know the floors of the forest, very important. You look at other countries where they do it differently and it’s a whole different story.

At this moment it's unclear as to how one would actually 'clean' a forest floor. Are there hoovers involved? What kind of cleaning product would you use? Isn't the 'floor' actually just 'the ground'?

It must be great to have a president who is so clued in to how to stop forest fires.

He went on to say: "I was with the president of Finland and he said, ‘We have a much different—we're a forest nation.’ He called it a forest nation, and they spent a lot of time on raking and cleaning and doing things,” Trump continued. “And they don't have any problem.”

You must wonder if someone pointed out that obvious to Trump; that Finland has a different climate to California and raking probably doesn't have a whole lot to do with it.

As you might expect, Trump's remarks have galvanised people on social media and they are, if you'll excuse the pun, raking him over the coals for it.

You heard the man, let's all Make America Rake Again!
