On Sunday, Kanye West finally dropped his highly anticipated 10th studio album Donda after fans and fellow music enthusiasts waited for weeks, sending the internet into a frenzy,
Although fans were elated to finally hear Donda, R&B singer Chris Brown wasn’t too excited about the release.
Hours after the album hit streaming platforms, Brown took to his Instagram Stories to post some interesting messages pointing towards West.
Brown didn’t elaborate, but according to The Shade Room, a source revealed that he was a bit upset about his verse being removed from one of the songs on the new album.
“Kanye a whole h**,” Brown wrote in one story before he posted another story that said, “Nah, he tweakin.”
It is reported that Brown was supposed to have an appearance on West’s song ‘New Again’. But after West took to his Instagram to say that Universal dropped his album before his permission, Brown’s verse was no longer on the project.
Fellow rapper Soulja Boy also spoke out about the album, claiming that he also recorded a verse for the album that wasn’t included in the final presentation.
“Idk how to feel. Kanye sent me that song ‘Remote Control,’ and I don’t hear my verse on it...Tell homie don’t hit my phone anymore, he tweeted, in part.
This nigga Kanye smh. Tell homie dont hit my phone no more. https://t.co/jAoumHDz4F— Soulja Boy (Big Draco) (@Soulja Boy (Big Draco)) 1630261584
In addition, many felt that actor and musician Donald Glover’s rare tweet on Sunday was in reaction to the artwork for Donda which is just a black square. Glover’s 2020 Childish Gambino album 3. 15. 20 was just a white square.

West also faced controversy over the album when rapper DaBaby and rock artist Marilyn Manson collaborated with him for the track “Jail Pt.2.”
DaBaby faced backlash over inappropriate and hurtful comments made about the LGBT+ community at Rolling Loud Festival. Manson was accused of sexually and psychologically abusing at least 15 women, including Westworld actress Evan Rachel Wood.
