This interviewer told Amy Schumer her character was 'skanky'. Big mistake

American actress Amy Schumer has been promoting her new film "Trainwreck" and we have a feeling she won’t be speaking to Australian radio station KIIS 101.1 again, after the most awkward interview... ever.

Presenter Matt Tilley proceeded to fixate on the binge-drinking element to Schumer’s character, whom she had already said was somewhat autobiographical, calling her “skanky”.

Tilley:

Being with a guy eclipses everything else, clearly everything else is thrown out the door in terms of decorum and dates and drinking and partying. Am I making sense to you?

Schumer:

I just think you’re wrong.

Tilley:

The reason you’re a trainwreck is because drinking and cheap sex is pretty much what drives you into realising the important things in life isn’t that a fair summation?

Schumer:

Um, no. No.

Tilley:

I feel like I’ve seen the wrong movie.

Schumer:

Yeah, I don’t know. I think that the point is that you realise she’s hurting herself and the people around her.

Tilley:

Yeah, um, that’s the point in the end, I’m talking about where you begin from, the premise though.

Schumer:

Great.

When asked what her ambitions were for the next few years, Schumer replies:

I just want to do whatever I have to do to do another interview with you again, if it means I have to make another movie, then I’ll do that.

The female interviewer suggests at this point that she might come by herself next time. Schumer’s response?

I love that idea. I love that idea.

To cap it all, at the end, the male interviewer comments:

This is exactly how it went with Russell Brand as well.
