Donald Trump, the Republican presidental candidate, is renowned for his derogatory comments about women.
He's made a number of sexist remarks about his rival Hillary Clinton and even said he would date his own daughter if he was not her father.
Another target for Trump's sexism was Alicia Machado, Miss Universe 1996, who, according to the New York Times, was shamed by Trump repeatedly for gaining weight during the pageant.
Machado said that she had eating disorders and psychological trauma as a result of Trump's comments. However, during a pool-side interview Machado clearly had had enough.
In the video, resurfaced by CBS News, Trump, who was executive producer of the pageant, said that Machado had turned out to be one of the "great Miss Universes, and she had a little problem in the middle where she gained a little weight.."
Machado immediately responded with "I don't think so."
I am the most beautiful woman in the world - with 20 pounds or no pounds.
On Monday night, during the debate between Clinton and Trump, Clinton used Machado's story against Trump.
“One of the worst things he said was about a woman in a beauty contest. He loves beauty contests, supporting them and hanging around them,” Clinton said. “And he called this woman ‘Miss Piggy.’ Then he called her ‘Miss Housekeeping,’ because she was Latina.”
“Donald, she has a name: Her name is Alicia Machado," Clinton concluded.
