4th September is an important day for the world of the Beyhive – it’s Beyonce’s 40th birthday.
While the star was flooded with well-wishes and love from across the world, her husband has also recently shared a sweet message of his own, in awe of the ‘Crazy in Love’ singer’s work ethic.
Jay-Z may have ‘99 Problems’, but working with Beyonce clearly isn’t one. While working alongside your spouse can generally be a recipe for disaster, the rapper gave a rare glimpse as to why their collaborative efforts are so strong.
During his 40/40 Club 18th anniversary party in New York last weekend, the 51-year-old music mogul gushed about his “super talented” wife.
“She’s super detail-oriented, obviously, as you can see from her work,” he told ET Canada. “She’s an incredibly hard worker, super talented, very inspiring.”
The power couple have frequently joined musical forces and produced hitmakers such as Crazy In Love’, Upgrade U and Deja Vu’. They have alss recently become the faces of Tiffany & Co’s new About Love campaign, which launched September 2.

The release shows Beyonce donning the luxury brand’s iconic Yellow Diamond necklace – which makes her the fourth woman in history to wear the piece of 128.54-carat jewellery, worth over $30 million.
The Run the World singer follows Ms E. Sheldon Whitehouse at the 1957 Tiffany Ball, Audrey Hepburn for Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and Lady Gaga – who borrowed the necklace for the Oscars in 2019.
However, she received backlash over the campaign, due to the backstory of the diamond.
On September 15, the pair will release a film for Tiffany & Co filmed by Jay-Z. In a statement, the couple said: ‘Love is the diamond that the jewellery and art decorate.’
The pair first started dating in 2001 after much speculation. Seven years later they secretly tied the knot in April 2008. Their first collaboration brought 03 Bonnie & Clyde released in 2009.
They have since toured the world together and welcomed three children Blue Ivy, 9, Sir, 4, and Rumi, 4.
After many collaborative efforts, the couple later surprised the world with the album Everything is Love in 2018.
