Jennifer Lopez reveals the one text message from Alex Rodriguez that seduced her

In an interview with Vanity Fair, the singer and actor Jennifer Lopez and former baseball star Alex Rodriguez revealed some surprising details about their relationship

Among the many insights into their world were details of their first date - at the Bel-Air Hotel in Los Angeles.

According to Rodriguez when they met up, he wasn't 100 per cent sure it was even a date, but when J-Lo mentioned the fact she was single he was 'overcome with emotion'.

Rodriguez reports that he excused himself to the men's room to take a moment.

Being a sportsman, he couldn't not use a baseball analogy when describing the events to Vanity Fair.

She told me around the third or fourth inning that she was single.

I had to get up and go re-adjust my thoughts. I went to the bathroom and got enough courage to send her a text.
