Marco Rubio wants to drink beer with Malala, who is Muslim and underage

Republican US presidential hopeful Marco Rubio was asked at a Q&A session in New Hampshire which non-politician he would like to grab a beer with.

The senator from Florida, seen by many Republican 'moderates' as the only viable alternative to front-runners Donald Trump and Ben Carson, awkwardly answered 'Malala Yousafzai'.

As Gawker points out, "this is hilarious on about 40,000 different levels", but mostly that a) Malala is a practicing Muslim and b) at 18 years old couldn't even legally drink in the US.

She does have a Nobel Peace Prize and is an inspiration to millions though, so really we can't blame Rubio for wanting to hang out with her. Maybe just get a coffee instead though.
