The Pope says he hasn't watched TV since 1990

Pope Francis has claimed to have not watched television for 25 years.

He told the Argentinean newspaper La Voz del Pueblo that TV is "not for me".

Instead, he gets members of the Swiss Guards to keep him informed of the results of San Lorenzo, his favourite football team.

I haven't watched TV since 1990. It's a promise I made to the Virgin of Carmen on the night of 15 July 1990.

Francis added that the thing he misses most about life before becoming Pope is freedom - and specifically the freedom to go get a pizza.

Getting a delivery is not the same: "The point is to go there."
