This man spent decades searching for the Loch Ness monster. Here's what he concluded

Steve Feltham gave up his home, his job and his girlfriend to search for the Loch Ness monster.

Twenty-four years on, he has reached a sad conclusion: Nessie is "probably a catfish".

Speaking to the Times (£) Feltham added: "I have to be honest; I just don’t think that Nessie is a prehistoric monster."

But Feltham, who has been recognised by the Guinness Book of Records for the longest period of monster watching, says he doesn't have any regrets.

"The monster mystery will last for ever and will continue to attract people here, monster or not. I certainly don’t regret the last 24 years," he said.
