Over on UK Twitter, "2nd January" is trending and there’s a very specific reason why.

It transpires many people are leaving the office today for the Christmas break and won’t return until thesecond day of 2020. As this is social media, people aren’t shy about letting the world know they’ve got the out of office message on and they’re off home to drink Baileys, watch Love Actually and forget about work for a bit.

Obviously it’s annoying for those people still working but there is plenty of joy in the air as many members of the Great British public prepare to enjoy a bit of time off from the ol’ nine-to-five. And who can blame them? Everyone who has to work, obviously.
