Andrew Neil reels off Boris Johnson's past failures in another brutal takedown of the prime minister

Andrew Neil has a reputation of not pulling any punches when it comes to British politicians, especially Boris Johnson.

During the 2019 general election, Johnson refused to take part in an interview with Neil, despite every other party leader having already done so.

The result was a scathing takedown of the prime minister from Neil, whose subsequent verbal evisceration became a viral hit.

Despite Johnson and the Conservatives winning a huge majority at the election, Neil isn't done with the prime minister.

Earlier this week the PM announced plans to go ahead with the controversial HS2 high-speed railway, which has already caused divisions in his party.

This would hardly be the first time that Johnson has invested in an expensive project that hasn't fully met its potential.

During the intro to Wednesday night's edition of his show, Neil decided to list off a few of Johnson endeavours which didn't quite pay off for him.

Highlighting the unfinished Crossrail, the expensive flop that is his cable cars across the Thames, the Boris buses which didn't fully realise his vision and the garden bridge which never happened, Neil unloaded on Johnson in the only way he can, ultimately speculating that HS2 isn't in safe hands.

Neil's blunt takedown of the PM has already been watched more than 200,000 times on Twitter and people are loving the Scots latest demolition job on Johnson.
