The government is spending an extra £2billion to prepare for no-deal Brexit and people are furious

|Whichever side of the Brexit debate you’re on, we're sure most of us can agree it’s turned into a frightful mess, hasn’t it?

As Boris Johnson assumes his new role as prime minister, preparations for a no-deal Brexit are being ramped up. As part of this, the government has announced new funding for preparations. 2.1 billion pounds to be precise.

Given that the Conservative government have consistently cut funding from public services since 2010, people have been exasperated at this much money being spent on something that isn’t necessary. There’s no “magic money tree” for nurses to get a pay rise, but there’s always money for no-deal Brexit or doing a deal with Northern Ireland’s Democratic Unionist Party.
